What is an "IF" Manifold ?
"IF" Manifolds are Hydraulic Manifolds with the port adapter machined into the block creating a Male Port such as an O-Ring Face Seal or JIC. By doing this you eliminate the need for and adapter screwed into the manifold via a female port such as SAE O-Ring boss. This eliminates the adapter entirely and reduces a potential leak point. It also allows us to reduce the overall size and weight of the manifold. The pictures below give a good illustration of our process.
The following is a Sun T-11a Dual Counterbalance body and our T-11a Dual Counterbalance Body. Our body weighs half of the Sun YEJ body and has half the number of potential leak points.
